REQUEST FOR EXPRESSION OF INTEREST

POLICY ANALYSIS BRIEF

 

In early September 2012,National Network of Gay, Transgender and MSM in Indonesia (GWL-INA) has signed Sub-Grant Agreement as Sub Recipient Asia Pacific Network of People Living with HIV (APN +) to organize the implementation of the research “Community Access to Treatment, Care and Support Service (CAT-S) ” for Indonesia. CAT-S is a community-based study conducted in seven countries in Asia Pacific that includes Bangladesh, Laos, Nepal, Pakistan, the Philippines, Vietnam and Indonesia, and consists of two major components, which is : Survey (questionnaire) and community documentation (in the form of an indepth interview, mapping of ARV services and photo / video documentation). The main purpose of research is CAT-S; 1]

 

To assess the extent to which HIV-related medical problems such as access to services prior to and during therapy Anti-Retroviral (ARV), ARV therapy adherence, understanding of medical literature, high risk behaviors, mental health problems, healthy behavior, finance charges and access related to treatment of HIV in Asia and the Pacific. In addition to this research paint a picture of PLHIV at the regional level, GWL-INA also slipped to a study that also portray the condition of PLHIV in Indonesia where currently both the results of the research already done the analysis.

 

To support the dissemination of the results of this study, it will be made a policy analysis brief is a short article about the findings and recommendations of the study results. A consultant will help develop policy briefs that is easily understood by the community and the general public so that the results of the study will be used as material for advocacy or program planning.

 

GWL INA, is looking for a capable consultant who will develop the policy analysis brief for the Indonesian region bases. Specifically, the following services that are expected to be provided by the consultant:

 

  1. Develop policy analysis brief for Indonesia country.
  2. Coordinate with other NGO’s and GWL INA Secretariat in relation to the performance of the task.

 

Key Qualifications:

  1. An established track record in producing policy analysis brief, especially for organizations related to HIV/AIDS and human rights in a regional context;
  2. Experience in human rights based approaches to health and community development;
  3. A degree in communications and/or social sciences, or equivalent experience, is preferred;
  4. High-literacy in written and spoken English

 

The selected consultant will be engaged within starts in September 1st, 2016. The selected consultant is expected to coordinate with GWL INA Secretariat.
